Customer Service Manager

Our Vehicare team is currently looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager to keep up our level of commitment to customer service and safety. Fleet Maintenance Manager directs and coordinates customer service activities of fleet maintenance branch to service and maintain a dedicated client delivery fleet. This fleet consists of primarily of Heavy-Duty Trucks, Trailers, and a small number of Light Duty Vehicles. Mechanical background required and strong customer relationship skills a must. What are the Duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Client meetings participation and proactive handling of Customer complaints
• Quick responsiveness to client requests
• Maintaining client-based reports on client dedicated system
• Managing monthly workload and repairs to meet client budget
• Overseeing the scheduling of work in the shop utilizing our proprietary maintenance management system, VAMS.
• Capital expenditures as well as P&L oversight for the branch
• Staffing levels of the technicians currently at 3 technicians
• All branch Human Resources activities and policy implementation
• Overseeing the closing of repair orders
• Overseeing all the shipping & receiving activities
• Branch inventory control
• Monitoring of key branch measures utilizing existing dashboards for ease of management
• Responsible for the building and grounds of the shop facility
• Responsible for maintaining continual improvement in operations (6S shop, detailed 6S mobile service trucks, technician electronic data entry)
• Sound business acumen
• Compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations (continuous training provided as applicable)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service Manager supervises employees of the branch and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this operation. Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Mechanical background in education and/or experience required. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; OR four- or five-years related experience.

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.?

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid State Driver's License.
• CDL preferred but not required.
