Diesel Technician / Truck Mechanic

Clarke, an industry leader, is now interviewing for a Diesel Technician - Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic! What are the Duties? ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Diagnose & repair offroad Industrial Heavy Equipment (Bulldozers, John Deere Equipment, all makes/models on Gas/Diesel trucks)
• Service and Repair work: Drive train, Steering, Electrical, Suspension and Brakes, etc.
• In-shop repairs with flexible Service Truck use at customers locations
• John Deere certs a PLUS!
• Troubleshooting and Inspections
• Good computer skills and good verbal communication
• Must be able to work independently

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years experience REQUIRED
• Hydraulic repair experience REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge with Allison Transmissions is Preferred!
• Certificate or Degree from Diesel Program Preferred

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver's License
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is a Plus
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
