Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a First Shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Facility Maintenance Technician based in Reamstown, PA. The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance and upkeeping on machinery, equipment, and facilities, including diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, replacing defective parts, and conducting regular inspections to ensure machine up-time, safety and compliance.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:Base Salary$20/hr. - 29/hr. with mandatory overtime as needed. What you will do
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines, robotics, and industrial equipment
  • Interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and electrical schematics to identify root causes of failure
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and update maintenance records using CMMS
  • Calibrate and align machinery to ensure precision performance and minimize scrap
  • Follow OSHA, NFPA, NEC and company-specific safety protocols during repairs and inspections
  • Identify and report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately. Participate in immediate resolution to avoid safety issues
What we require
  • High school diploma and/or GED Certification
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining CNC and industrial equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving abilities
  • Agile approach to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Technical certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Familiarity with CNC controls and automation systems
  • Experience with CMMS platforms
