Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and sustainability-focused Business Development Specialist to support the advancement of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure initiatives. This role is instrumental in managing stakeholder relationships, coordinating outreach and engagement efforts, and identifying opportunities to expand clean transportation programs. The ideal candidate will be strategic, organized, and passionate about the transition to sustainable mobility solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with a dynamic and mission-driven team, and may transition into a full-time role based on performance.

Job Responsibilities




  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and initiatives



  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to grow EV infrastructure programs through market research, outreach, and stakeholder engagement



  • Prepare and deliver presentations to varied audiences, including executive leadership, effectively communicating complex concepts in accessible terms



  • Plan, coordinate, and execute EV infrastructure projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are achieved



  • Analyze project data, market trends, and stakeholder feedback to assess performance and identify actionable improvements



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development goals with sustainability and clean transportation strategies



  • Support strategic outreach and program expansion efforts that advance EV adoption within the medium- and heavy-duty vehicle markets




Job Requirements




  • 3-8 years of experience in business development, stakeholder engagement, or related disciplines



  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships and partnerships



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with data analysis tools



  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable for technical and non-technical audiences



  • Proven success in business development or outreach roles within the EV, trucking, or clean transportation sectors preferred



  • Valid driver's license required (not for daily use)

Education

Additional Job Details




  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote; Tuesdays and Wednesdays required onsite)



  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM



  • Overtime: Not required



  • Travel: Minimal, as needed



  • Assignment Length: 6-12 months, with potential for full-time employment based on performance



  • Compensation: $44-$55 per hour



  • Team Environment: Small core team with frequent cross-departmental collaboration



  • Interview Process: Three rounds - Behavioral Interview, Case Study Panel Interview, and Department Interview; references requested at the final stage
