Accountant

We are seeking our new Accountant to join the Axway team!

Overview:

Axway, a leading global provider of collaborative solutions, is seeking qualified Staff Accountant. Axway offers a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401K.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for daily general ledger activities including accounts payable and accruals, expense report processing, cash forecasting, investigation and analysis, and assisting with the month-end closing process and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

Achieve month-end close timelines, including preparation of journal entries, expense analytics and completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable process including monitoring for necessary accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Research and resolve issues as identified.
• Perform account variance analysis.
• Reconcile daily cash between online software and cash management module.
• Provide documentation and resolve any cash discrepancies.
• Ensure expense reports are processed in accordance with company policy; resolve issues timely.
• Serve as a backup to other team members on an as-needed basis.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and responses to auditors.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned to team.

Qualifications:

• BS in accounting or equivalent degree
• 2+ years previous accounting experience
• Software industry knowledge desirable
• Experience with general ledger accounting packages
• Physical presence required in the office during normal business hours and occasionally outside of normal business hours
