Job Description

Directs the development, coordination and administration of home care clinical operations for a licensed home care agency with multiple offices on Long Island, and in New York City, Westchester, and Putnam Counties. Responsible for management, budget, and revenue growth. Participates in the development and implementation of financial and strategic planning activities. Facilitates quality improvement initiatives and integration of Northwell Health System values.

Job Responsibilities



  • Leads a Licensed Home Care function by developing leaders and driving programs and initiatives that support and impact the overall Northwell health system goals.
  • Develops and articulates a long-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
  • Supports and promotes mission, vision, and goals of the organization; establishes an office culture for personnel conducive to the advancement of corporate business goals; organizes and directs the department's ongoing functions in compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Develops and expands new home-based care; participates in the department budgeting process and ensures adequate visits to support budgeted guidelines Maintains continuous communication among the governing body, the community advisory committee, professional personnel and staff; maintains continuity and coordinates office activities and procedures to support the standards of care established by the department within the framework of established department policies, procedures and practices.
  • Employs qualified personnel and provide a plan for the ongoing educational development of the staff; acts as advocate for their office, representing the needs and concerns of staff and programs Acquires appropriate materials and resources for the administration of the program within financial guidelines; coordinates activities of the community advisory board; annual department evaluation; state/federal audit and review.
  • Establishes and reviews department policy and procedures, make recommendations for policy revision for board approval and decisions regarding department goals and direction Provides effective utilization of all field personnel based at office Participates in staff performance evaluations Participates in the development of employees toward meeting professional goals.

Job Qualification




  • Masters degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related graduate degree.
  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
  • Minimum eight (8) years responsible home care nursing and management experience, required.
  • Experience with NYS Department of Health Licensed Home Care Service Agency regulations.
