The 340B Inventory & Client Service Coordinator is a critical operational and client-facing role within the OptumRx 340B Department. This position supports both inventory management and broader client service initiatives. Acting as a liaison between internal teams (procurement, pharmacy, and client services) and external stakeholders (Covered Entities, Third Party Administrators, and Wholesale Partners), the coordinator ensures seamless service delivery, compliance, and operational excellence. The role is designed to enhance the experience of our clients and Covered Entities by aligning business strategy with execution, managing inventory lifecycles, and supporting client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inventory & Compliance
    • Confirm inventory receipt by pharmacies and facilitate returns of damaged or incorrect items
    • Analyze orders to prevent inactive inventory purchases
    • Provide medical documentation and prescription images for audits (internal and governmental)
    • Navigate complex TPA portals and extract sensitive patient data from pharmacy systems
  • Implementation Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for implementing accounts, ensuring day-to-day service delivery
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with Covered Entities
    • Coordinate internally to implement Covered Entities, complete projects, and address service needs
  • Operational Delivery
    • Own the experience lifecycle from sales and contracting through implementation
    • Partner cross-functionally with procurement and 340B teams to evolve services and meet performance goals

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of healthcare experience
  • 2+ years of previous Pharmacy Technician experience
  • 2+ years of project coordination experience with external clients and/or 2+ years of experience with working in a corporate setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous 340B industry experience

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting to external clients

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
