Location: Onsite - 1700 N Waterman Ave San Bernardino, CA 92404

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM-5 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting front-desk operations for a high-volume clinic that serves approximately 300 patients per day. This position supports a multidisciplinary team of Primary Care Providers, Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and Extended Care Clinicians. In addition to standard patient intake, the role is responsible for: coordinating registration for a wide range of ancillary services, including Point-of-Care Testing (POCT), X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammogram, DEXA, ECHO, and the Infusion Clinic

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in scheduling, insurance verification, and patient intake procedures
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
  • Basic knowledge of billing and coding practices is advantageous

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Medical Assistant (MA) certification from an accredited program (e.g., AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT)
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting in patient coordination, medical assisting, or front office roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR certification
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable
  • Bilingual skills (especially Spanish or other locally relevant languages)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
