Key Responsibilities: Under supervision of a registered nurse, provide basic bedside nursing care and practice some advanced nursing procedures, caring for complex pediatric patients. In collaboration with the RN you will care for patients who may be on ventilators, with chest tubes, being hemodynamically monitored or with complex dressings and drainage tubes. You may also be responsible for obtaining vital signs, perform EKG's and oxygen saturation measurements. You will also work with staff to maintain unit (ordering/stocking) and provide support to families during this difficult time. This is a progressive nursing assistant role with increasing responsibility for nursing care planning and an opportunity to practice in a family centered environment. This co-op cycle will run from January 2026 - July 2026. To qualify, you must have: Education: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at Northeastern University (NEU). Eligible for participation in the NEU co-op program. Experience: NEU undergraduate students must have completed at least three academic semesters to be eligible for co-op placement. The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
