This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Being responsible formechanical designand relateddocumentationfor given development and maintenance tasks according toProduct RequirementsSpecification, with consideration of costs anddesignfor manufacturability aspects.
  • Secure product compliance with the applicable standards as well as internaldesigncriteria and procedures.
  • Close cooperation within the global R&D department as well as other departments responsible for implementation of new product in production process.
  • Maintaining and developing product that response to all customer requirement in cost efficient way.
  • Being responsible for product data in ERP systems
  • Performing assigned maintenance or development tasks as a member of R&D team.
  • Performing the given tasks according to agreed timeline and with the high quality in all aspects.
  • Planning for given and coming tasks will be done in tight co-operation with Project manager.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree inMechanical Engineeringor equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience.
  • Deep understanding ofmechanical designaspects related toelectrical machines(preferably: induction motors, generators, transformers etc.)
  • Good command ofmechanical design tools(e.g. NX, Creo,AutoCAD, Inventor,Catia,ANSYS).
  • Good command ofPDM tools(preferably:Teamcenter,Windchill) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Programmingskills preferably.NETandSAPknowledge is a plus but not mandatory
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken alike. Cross cultural understanding.
  • Analytical and logical mindset.
  • Motivation and goal-orientation.
