Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Play an integral role in driving excellence in material planning, control, and flow within a dynamic manufacturing environment. At Worley, we're looking for someone who thrives on ensuring that every component, part, and product moves through production seamlessly. You'll join a team that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration-where your expertise will directly influence how projects are executed and delivered to our clients.

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all materials required for production, ensuring they are defined, quantified, and available in alignment with the project schedule. This includes overseeing procurement activities, analyzing material usage, optimizing inventory control, and ensuring materials management practices support both operational and business objectives.

As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you translate strategy into action-connecting the technical, logistical, and business aspects of material management to support Worley's mission of delivering sustainable, high-quality results for our clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee all materials and equipment activities across assigned projects to ensure accurate definition, quantification, and timely requisitioning aligned with production schedules.
  • Analyze material usage and implement effective control systems to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute materials management plans to support project and business objectives.
  • Lead coordination between procurement, production, and project teams to ensure seamless material availability and traceability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of new systems, tools, and workflows that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Worley's materials management standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide strong leadership to a team of materials professionals, guiding workload priorities and performance expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and communications to management and project stakeholders.
  • Apply sound judgment in complex decision-making, balancing cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Represent materials management in cross-functional meetings and take a proactive role in resolving project challenges.

  • A university degree (or equivalent) in a related field such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in materials management within a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory and/or project management responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of material control systems, processes, and analytical tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management principles, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and set priorities in complex, fast-paced situations.
  • Proven experience in developing tactical implementation plans based on strategic objectives.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic approach with the confidence to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.

Feel the energy at Worley with access to a range of benefits including: paid time off, holiday pay (usually 8 per year in the U.S.), and eligibility to participate in the medical, life, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as a 401(k) plan.
