Job Description The County Cash Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day cash management operations of Johnson County Kansas. This position ensures the County maintains adequate liquidity to meet financial obligations, while effectively managing idle funds/investment portfolios in accordance with county policies, state laws, and public fund investment guidelines. The Cash Manager plays a key role in optimizing cash flow, safeguarding public funds, and supporting fiscal transparency and accountability. Job Duties include:
Manage short-term and long-term investment portfolios in accordance with Kansas statues, the County's Investment Policy, industry best practices, and "expanded powers" investment requirement.
Performance reporting and interfacing with strategic partners:
Job Requirements Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field is required. Seven (7) years' increasingly responsible government or corporate cash management experience managing large (>$100M) portfolios and seven (7) years of fixed income investment management experience are required. Preferred: Master's degree in the following field(s) of study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and/or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) are preferred. Also, experience with fund accounting and government finance practice is preferred. | |||||||||||||||||||
