From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis American Group part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a RSPC Lead Operator V based in Nampa, ID. The RSPC Lead Operator V assists and manages the enhancement of both technical and financial performance of the department under the direction of RSPC Management, including supervision of milk receiving, milk inventories, production, sanitation, production specifications, product quality and management of all personnel. The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible, and receptive to innovative ideas, pragmatic, analytical and attentive to detail. He or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure, and be able to demonstrate an inquiring mind and well-developed observational skills. Will demonstrate a sense of responsibility and high professional standards, honesty and integrity, and objectivity. Possess values of ambition and engagement, with simplicity.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Monitors inventories of milk, cream, starter, and all other materials required for production.

* Ensures that production specifications are in line with Company standards and ensures that the loss of fat and protein is minimized (and consistent with the budget). Take corrective action immediately when necessary.

* Analyzes and evaluates information concerning daily operations and how these results positively or negatively affect plant performance.

* Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems.

* Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

* Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.

* Reports on production problems and/or concerns to RSPC Management.

* Assists RSPC Management with planning and scheduling workforce consistent with production requirements. Continuously evaluates workforce to attempt to reduce labor costs.

* Works closely with QA Manager and Laboratory personnel on a wide variety of areas including quality of raw materials, product specifications, good manufacturing, and sanitation practices.

* Assists RSPC Management in coordinating production activity.

* Continually evaluates staff/department performance.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

* High School Diploma required.

Experience

* Previous experience working and leading a team in production setting (food manufacturing). A.S. degree is a plus, or some combination of those two.

Specialized Knowledge

* Dairy or other related experience preferred.

Skills / Abilities

* Basics mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages).

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Must be dependable and be able to work well in a team environment.
