Your Team, Your Impact

As a Financial Senior Staff Professional at Marvell, you'll work closely with the business unit you support to provide meaningful data analysis. Your team has a certain budget for resources and you'll help them decide how to use that budget most effectively. Should we get more new lab equipment or hire another team member? Are we on track with the forecast? Will this new product deliver a positive return on investment given its costs? You're the one providing the analysis to help your team decide.

What You Can Expect

  • Deep-dive into financial data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to uncover trends and insights

  • Construct and present financial reports that tell a compelling story, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with variance analyses

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a comprehensive and fully-interlocked annual budget

  • Track project budgets against plan-of-record and accurately forecast the timing of related operating and capital expense

  • Closely monitor forecast vs. actual performance, providing strategic recommendations for adjustments

  • Drive to optimize operational expenses through detailed analysis and collaboration with business partners

  • Evaluate capital investment proposals and provide compelling justifications for capital expenditures

  • Be the guardian of financial regulations and reporting standards to ensure our financial integrity

  • Participate in exciting ad hoc financial analysis projects and deliver insights that will shape our strategic direction

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting or related fields and 4+ years of related professional experience

  • Extensive Excel knowledge and experience including Pivot Tables

  • Ability to use financial modeling (primarily Microsoft Excel) to predict the future and do variance analysis to actuals

  • Ability to work with incomplete information and deal with varying levels of ambiguity to provide insight from large data sets

  • Skilled at summarizing data for management reporting

  • Drive process improvements across multiple groups within FP&A and the larger finance organization

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

109,100 - 161,510, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
