Dock Technician

Pay: $30-$37/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

The Dock Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing commercial dock and facility equipment. In this role, you'll ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently while documenting performance and communicating effectively with both internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on dock equipment, commercial doors, and locks
• Inspect systems and replace worn parts (belts, filters, hoses, fluids)
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and lighting repairs
• Conduct safety checks and keep workspaces clean per OSHA standards
• Document work using CMMS and digital tools
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year experience maintaining commercial dock equipment
• Familiarity with manufacturers like Rite Hite, Nabco, and Assa Abloy preferred
• Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems and general mechanical repairs
• AAADM certification preferred
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
• Comfortable with digital documentation and email communication
• Knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance processes
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently
• Able to work in varied weather and perform physical tasks such as standing, climbing, kneeling, and reaching
