Maintenance Technician

Advantage xPO is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Mobile, AL. This role involves preventative maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial equipment. We're looking for a reliable, skilled technician with strong communication, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a cross-trained, team-oriented environment.

Pay: $23-$27/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, etc.)
• Perform facility rounds and document equipment status
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and dock systems
• Replace motors, pumps, valves, belts, filters, and wiring
• Assist with general maintenance (painting, plumbing, lighting)
• Use CMMS for documentation and preventive maintenance updates
• Communicate job status with team and clients
• Support vendor coordination and admin tasks (parts ordering, POs, meetings)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical training preferred
• 4+ years of experience in facilities maintenance (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
• Valid driver's license; forklift & aerial lift certifications (JLG, scissor lift)
• Skilled with hand/power tools; working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
• Familiar with Building Automation Systems and maintenance software
• Comfortable with Microsoft Word, email, and mobile devices
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environments, including rooftops
