Job Title: Senior Nuclear Scheduler Location: Surry, VA Job Summary: Serve as one of the principal schedulers in the review of station logs, reports, and schedules that support online and outage activities. Work with construction managers and project managers to develop and incorporate schedules for license renewal activities in the overall station schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing tasks associated with the development, scheduling, and coordination of projects schedules, that support license renewal activities.
- Interfaces with planners, senior schedulers, associated craft coordinators, unit outage coordinators, and work week managers to update and prepare an integrated online maintenance and/or outage schedule.
- Attends daily update/planning meetings as needed.
- Downloads automated work orders and LAN reports to transfer data to scheduling software (P6).
- Revises scheduled activities for work departments, Work Week Managers.
- Utilizes scheduling techniques, practices and established criteria to develop, maintain, analyze, and evaluate station schedules.
- Analyzes critical path impacts based on schedule changes.
- Responsible for producing logic diagrams, customized schedules and reports.
- When supporting the outage group, prepares outage analysis data during the outage and for the final outage reports.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of relevant experience in related field, including power plant experience.
- Demonstration of advance knowledge craft specialty and/or nuclear operations.
- Previous work experience in commercial nuclear project planning and work management, to include strong use of Primavera (P6).
- Proficiency in schedule analysis, with experience in the use of a computer, spreadsheet applications and on-line scheduling software.
- Demonstrated ability to transfer data between various applications and platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work.
- Good communication skills and demonstrated experience through effective interaction with various levels of employees and management.
Required Soft Skills:
- Must be able work and collaborate in a team environment.
- Should be a self-starter and be able manage themselves with or without direct supervision.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic negotiation skills required to address work priorities.
- Some experience working with LAN-based project scheduling tools.
Education:
- Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate.
- Preferred Discipline: Technical Studies.
