Job description
Job Title: Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join a talented and collaborative team. In this role, you'll take on a variety of corporate accounting responsibilities that contribute to the financial reporting and operational success of the organization. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong organizational skills and a passion for continuous learning. This is a virtual role, with occasional travel to the corporate office in Erie, PA as needed. Key Responsibilities: *Daily processing and entry of Accounting Activity according to Acct Manual and standard operating processes, Accounts Payable, Receivable, Bank Activity; Bank account reconciliations or basic account analysis *Contribute to month-end close processes by preparing journal entries and assisting with accounts payable. *Account reconciliations and review *Transaction imports *Journal entries and period closing activities *Fixed asset tracking *Assisting with and AR and AP activities as necessary *Collaborate with auditors (internal and external) to ensure timely completion of audits and quarterly reviews. *Generate ad hoc financial reports as needed *Oversight of junior accountants as needed Requirements: *Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. *Excellent communication skills, both accurate and articulate. *Ability to work collaboratively with Finance and HR departments. *Customer service-oriented with the ability to answer employee inquiries and questions effectively. Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. *Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with knowledge of U.S. GAAP *Experience working on financials for multiple entities is a plus. *Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems and tech tools. *Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Knowledge of ERP systems such as Netsuite and Procas is a plus. The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role will be $68,000 - $98,000 (not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
