Summary: With direction from the Master Planner, assists in the planning and preparation of production schedules to maintain production objectives. Assists in the identification of deviations from schedules so corrective action can be taken. Prepares capacity load report and monitors inventory levels to achieve company goals.

Safety is # 1 at BTD: Our expectation is that every employee: 1) strictly follows safety policies, rules and safe work methods. 2) promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety. Actively participates in a safety process or project such as the safety committee, safety inspections, etc.

Essential Functions:



  1. Coordinates effectively with purchasing, planning and production.
  2. Assists Customer Service in supporting customer requirements.
  3. Uses Microsoft programs to enter time, job information, etc.
  4. Participates in self-development training.
  5. Responds to daily questions related to production scheduling and processes.
  6. Ensure that inventory systems are continuously maintained in an up-to-date and accurate manner.
  7. Audit back flush locations and ensure they are accurate.
  8. Researches and resolves inventory process or costing errors (back flush, BOM/route configuration, outside services)
  9. Helps identify problems pertaining to discrepancies in labeling or inventory control, communicates these issues to appropriate personal.
  10. Reports Jobs as Finished (RAF) and resolves and errors prior to jobs ending.
  11. Using system generated reports, updates MES jobs boards in accordance to delivery dates.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Graduation from high school plus two years of related technical or three years of related on-the-job training.

Experience and Skills Required: At least three years of recent related production control experience which includes the following skills and abilities:



  1. Strong working knowledge of production control.
  2. Working knowledge of computerized manufacturing production planning.
  3. Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate production control programs with a strong sense of initiative and urgency.
  4. Ability to operate general office equipment including manufacturing-related applications on a microcomputer.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with others and to present ideas effectively, orally and in writing, as well as strong public relations skills.
  6. Strong working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in production operations.
  7. Must be able to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC6 $21.53-$30.15 per hour. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
