Duties and/or Responsibilities:




  1. Promote Company's Purpose, Mission, and Vision statements.
  2. Perform daily equipment, walk around, and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
  3. Operate and maintain welders, cutting torch, plasma cutter, chop saws, and other welding/fabricating equipment.
  4. Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawing specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to safely and accurately complete equipment repairs and or fabricate complete components.
  5. Rework and/or repair welded parts, equipment, and components.
  6. Utilize skills to fabricate metal components as needed.
  7. Use hand and power tools common to the trade.
  8. Operate mobile equipment such a forklifts, telehandlers, man lifts, etc.
  9. Communicate effectively (verbal, written, listening). Frequent contact and communications with others within and outside the company to ensure all equipment is running properly.
  10. Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  11. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  12. Ability to maintain positive team member relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  13. Maintain clean and safe work area.
  14. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:



  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of welding materials, welding properties, and various types of metals.
  3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  4. Good troubleshooting skills.
  5. 2+ years' experience welding and fabricating.
  6. Proficient in all types of welding including pipefitting and overhead.
  7. Experience in mechanical work such as training belts, installing belts, installing v-belts, gearboxes, and changing bearings.
  8. Able to work independently and as a team player.
  9. Willing to work irregular schedule including mornings, evenings, & weekends.
  10. Must be willing to travel to different work sites.
  11. Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and in a noisy, dusty environment.
  12. Must be able to work safely in a busy environment with moving machinery.
  13. Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the day.
  14. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  15. Safety minded.
  16. Positive attitude.


Preferred Requirements:



  1. Mechanical and repair of heavy equipment.
  2. Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor system, and maintenance.
  3. Electrical experience.
  4. Equipment operation, confined space training, and forklift certification.
  5. Possess own tools.
  6. MSHA Part 46 certified.
  7. OSHA 10 certified.
  8. Associates degree in Welding Technology or equivalent certification.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:



  1. Good communication skills at multiple levels.
  2. Collaboration with team members to complete projects/repairs in a timely manner.
  3. Proper operation of welding equipment and knowledge of which welding rods to use on different types of metal.
  4. Know how to successfully Log Out and Tag Out equipment using Company procedures.
  5. Be physically able to climb stairs and ladders or other physically demanding tasks as necessary in performing inspections and completing tasks.
  6. Able to work in varying environments - hot, cold, dusty, noisy field conditions.
  7. Able to lift and carry heavy items weighing 50 pounds.
  8. Basic safety rules and procedures.
  9. MSHA Part 46 qualified.
  10. OSHA 10 qualified.
  11. Must be able to work in a non-smoking, drug/alcohol free environment.
