What You Will Do:

  • Ensure accuracy of product costs including Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, labor rates, etc.;

  • Analyze variances to standard cost; i.e.: purchase price, material usage, labor rate and usage and report findings to management team in various report formats;

  • Work with management to complete financial analysis for various manufacturing investment scenarios, including comparison between different machines, equipment, and processing;

  • Maintain the standard cost system to generate accurate product costs/inventory values and meaningful variance analysis. Understand the reason for the cost change and obtain authorization for cost changes;

  • Design and develop plant reporting, analyze manufacturing cost, examine financial and operational data and provide recommendations to Management;

  • Participate and lead review discussions with plant management in regularly scheduled meetings;

  • Put in place a system of controls to safeguard plant assets that reduce the chance of recording incorrect financial information;

  • Provide assistance in the development of budgets, manufacturing standards, and financial forecasts;

  • Review existing and develop new budgeting requirements for the manufacturing facilities

  • Conduct profitability analysis, and review results with key plant staff;

  • Perform financial analysis and develop strategic and process initiatives with minimal supervision and guidance;

  • Provide Variable Cost productivity trackers with corresponding analysis.

  • Participate in annual physical inventory.

Position Details:

  • Candidate must reside in Houston, TX or surrounding areas

  • Work week: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM

  • Work from Home Option: One day per week Tuesday through Thursday

  • Work environment: front office cubicle in manufacturing facility

  • Compensation package offered: competitive salary and bonus program

  • New hire training provided including onboarding, new employee orientation, etc.

  • Required PPE provided

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or related field.

  • 3-5 years of work experience

  • Experience in a manufactory or factory environment

  • Experience with financial analysis, forecasting and financial reporting

  • Inventory and Cost management experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Personal skills and team player.

  • Quick learner of complex ERP system; Oracle experience a plus

  • Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Minimal climbing stairs, collating/filing, dialing, standing, and walking up to 10%

  • Constant use of keyboard and mouse, viewing of a computer monitor, sitting, seeing, hearing, writing and speaking greater than 66%

  • Occasional travel by land and air for training may be required less than 10%

  • Exposure to typical manufacturing noise may occur, PPE is required and provided.
