Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Production Manager to lead multiple manufacturing departments with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and team development. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our machine shop and production operations by crafting long-term strategies, driving lean transformation, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Strategically: Develop and execute a multi-year machine shop strategy that supports growth, innovation, and long-term competitiveness.

  • Oversee Operations: Manage and align multiple manufacturing departments (e.g., machine shop, press, inspection) to ensure operational excellence and collaboration.

  • Drive Lean Transformation: Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization.

  • Develop People: Lead, coach, and support team members to help them grow their skills and prepare andthe next generation of talent.

  • Measure What Matters: Own KPIs for productivity, cost, quality, and safety, and drive accountability through action and results.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance to deliver seamless execution of production goals.

  • Innovate for the Future: Drive adoption of new technologies, automation, and best practices to position our operations as an industry leader.

  • Lead Change: Work closely with the Director of Manufacturing to build a culture of continuous improvement, empowerment, and engagement.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 8years of progressive manufacturing leadership, including multi-department oversight.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred - equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

  • Proven success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies with measurable impact.

  • Strong history of building cohesive teams and developing leaders.

  • Experience in machine shop operations (CNC machining, tooling, or precision manufacturing).

  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and change management skills.

This is an on-site role.

Hiring Range: $121,000-$165,000 plus annual bonus opportunity. Final rate will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
