Overview
Presbyterian is seeking a Program Manager The Program Manager leads complex, multi-year programs for Presbyterian Member Communications. The Program Manager leads large, cross-functional, matrixed project teams of Presbyterian executives, as well as business, core functions and vendors. Depending on the size and complexity of the implementation, the Program Manager may have one or more Business, Technology, and Vendor Program(s) and/or Project Managers assigned and will be responsible for the overall management for the full lifecycle of the implementation. The Program Manager will follow PMI Program Management guidelines for planning, executing, and monitoring programs, in alignment with Presbyterian methodology and process. The Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of the assigned new implementation, including Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Close.
Ideal Candidate: Master s Degree. Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as Project Management Professional (PMP). Ten years of specialist project/program management experience using industry-standard project management tools and techniques. Three years directly managing large, high visibility, complex enterprise-level programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field required.
- Ten years of specialist project/program management experience using industry-standard project management tools and techniques is required.
- Three years directly managing large, high visibility, complex enterprise-level programs is required.
- Experience managing both business and technology projects/programs is required.
- Experience leading on-site, virtual, or mixed program/project teams, including team members in multiple geographic locations, is required.
- Healthcare project management experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Detailed Due Diligence Reports: Conduct detailed implementation due diligence (e.g., Service Level Agreements), coordinating with multiple Business and Operational areas, Technical Services Organization (IT), Legal and Compliance, vendors and third-party contractors, and other areas as needed to determine implementation complexity and timelines.
- Implementation Planning, Execution, and Monitoring: Develop implementation program plans, including program governance, work plans and schedules, team resourcing, budgeting, and communication plans (including issue escalation), based on contractual agreements, final scope and detailed due diligence. Provide full oversight for all aspects of the assigned implementation.
- Establish Communication Channels: Conduct implementation kick-off meetings with key contacts, establish program cadence, and review expectations. Ensure Program-level governance is appropriately aligned with Presbyterian, IT, and other executive level governance committees; provide required progress reports, dashboards, implementation SLAs, etc.
- Proactive Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Oversee program risk management and reporting, issue intake, resolution coordination, and escalation and mitigation activities to ensure implementation success and business satisfaction
- Successful Go-Live and Post Go-Live Support: Prepare transition, including go-live checklists, cutover plans, and post go-live support plans to ensure a successful transition to Presbyterian Operational and stakeholders.
- Leads complex, multi-year programs which implement Presbyterian Health (Presbyterian) system installations, upgrades, and enhancements with stakeholders and program resources from Operations, IT, and vendor(s). Executives, stakeholders, and team members may be on-site, virtual, or mixed, across multiple geographic locations.
- May participate in or contribute to pre-sales vendor meetings, ensuring that implementation considerations are addressed during the negotiation and contracting process.
- Directs program through full implementation lifecycle, including program initiation and requirements definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and program close.
- Reviews Contractual and Regulatory Agreements with Executive Sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure that program is fully understood by all stakeholders. Works with leadership to adjust as needed.
- Develops product-specific Implementation Plans, following PMI Program Management Guidelines and including any Presbyterian required content.
- Partners with Executive Sponsors and business and technology stakeholders to define program/project plans, including work stream governance structures, communication plans, risk management, financial oversight, and others as appropriate.
- Develops detailed program plans, including charter, scope, metrics, budget, timelines/schedules, risk management, progress reporting, and other elements as appropriate to the program.
- Conducts Program Retrospective, including lessons learned, assessment of success criteria and realized (or anticipated) benefits.
