JOB DESCRIPTION

Accountant (Fox Entertainment Studios, LLC; Los Angeles, California): Manage and perform the month-end financial close and financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP; ensure accounts reconciliations are performed in a timely manner, monitor deadlines, and provide hands-on support and coaching; review monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliation as part of the monthly close process for revenue, AR, deferred revenue, and other areas as assigned, ensuring there is proper supporting documentation; manage consolidation of company entities including eliminations and recording of investment in joint ventures; research applicable accounting guidance to document and conclude on proper accounting treatment of unique contracts and business transactions; understand and perform the general ledger accounting for revenue recognition and film accounting; interact effectively with financial planning and analysis, production finance, and other company departments to support timely and efficient record keeping while supporting the financial needs of the organization; support compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations; support compliance with internal controls with a focus on continuous process improvement; and manage the coordination of audits and the gathering of required audit information.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience Requirements: Five (5) years of experience in the position offered, Financial Analyst, or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following: consolidating multiple entries; dealing with foreign currencies and accounting; month-end financial close and financial reporting; general ledger accounting; financial planning and analysis; and consolidation of company entities (eliminations and recording of investment in joint ventures).

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $118,435.00-130,278.50 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
