- Partner directly with senior project managers, product owners, and government stakeholders to transform complex business needs into actionable user stories that drive real results.
- Serve as both analyst and Scrum Master, ensuring each sprint delivers value to the mission - removing roadblocks, refining requirements, and helping technical teams stay aligned with customer goals.
- Facilitate discussions between the development team and the customer/Product Owner(s) to ensure that the development team has a complete understanding of the requirements and the customer's end goal
- Understand the customer/Product Owners' priorities and help to break them into epics, user stories, or tasks for the team's action
- Organize, track, and lead grooming sessions for a product backlog, to include creating and updating user stories, epics, and tasks
- Lead customer feedback sessions, capturing feedback and translating issues, bugs, enhancements, new features, etc., into user stories;
- Inherently understand a product's critical components from the customer's perspective and serve as their "voice" when they're unavailable
- Document, capture, or record system configuration, test plans/results, release plans and notes, training materials, FAQ's, and other Knowledge Management-related artifacts on behalf of an assigned product
- Assist with user training.
What you'll need to succeed:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working directly with customers, product owners, and stakeholders to elicit requirements
- Engage regularly with senior government officials to understand business priorities and shape technical solutions.
- Translate customer needs into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira.
- Partner closely with developers, engineers, and testers to ensure full understanding of functional and technical requirements.
- Experience working on a cross-functional Agile development team, facilitating sprint ceremonies and demos to ensure alignment, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop and refine Knowledge Base Articles, SOPs, User Guides, and training materials.
- Track project activities, identify risks, and propose innovative process improvements to boost performance.
- Support project documentation - including status reports, risk registers, and release notes - with precision and clarity.
- Help drive continuous improvement through feedback loops, sprint retrospectives, and proactive communication.
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
- Excellent written, communication, and customer service skills.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
SALARY RANGE: $106,000 - 119,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
