Overview

The AUKUS supply chain efforts at Electric Boat commenced in 2023 with a focus on uplifting the Australian supply chain in support of the 2021 AUKUS agreement. The trilateral agreement was signed by the Australian, UK, and US governments to strengthen the allied defense and deterrence capabilities in the Indo Pacific. Electric Boat supply chain has been tasked to assist Australia and the UK in supply chain uplift for the AUKUS Program.

The successful candidate will support a variety of supply chain uplift tasking with a primary focus on establishing and executing a trilateral shipbuilder working group and developing strategies to assess the trilateral supply chain capabilities and capacity. This group will consist of buyers and program representatives that report to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

Core Roles and Responsibilities:

    Assist in development and execution of a trilateral (US, UK, AUS) shipbuilder working group
  • Support trilateral market space deep dives and analysis for the Trilateral Submarine Industrial Base (TSIB) efforts
  • Report directly to US Navy AUKUS I&A office on program status
  • Provide recommendations for trilateral supply base uplift initiatives
  • Support buyers and In Country Team (based in Adelaide, SA) with management of Australian supply base
  • Develop recommendations on supply chain strategy to the UK for the design/build effort
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements and ITAR control requirements


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years experience within supply chain, procurement, program management, and or material management
  • Experience leading efforts that require multi-department action with responsibility to ensure other departments complete tasks for your effort
  • Understanding of supply base risks and opportunities across various market spaces
  • Demonstrated experience identifying conflicts, developing plans to resolve issues, and recommending/applying potential improvements

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering,
  • 3+ years experience within supply chain, procurement, program management, and or material management
  • Defense Industry experience
  • International or foreign entities experience
  • Experience with Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) initiatives related to supply base risks, opportunities, and development investments
  • Supply chain and/or purchasing experience

  • Capable of combining assertive initiative with professional discipline to accomplish challenging tasks, and work as change agents to remove barriers that hinder progress
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and possess strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
