Position Overview: The Director, FP&A provides strategic financial leadership for the Academic Subsegment. This role involves leading complex financial analysis, driving strategic planning processes, and serving as a key advisor to two Business GM/VPs and a Sales VP. The position requires extensive experience in financial planning and the ability to influence strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead strategic planning and long-range forecasting
- Provide financial leadership for major initiatives
- Oversee complex financial modeling and analysis
- Lead annual operating plan development
- Support M&A evaluation and integration
- Develop FP&A best practices and standards
- Implement advanced analytics and tools
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience
- 5+ years of management experience
- Expert knowledge of financial planning and analysis
- Strong strategic thinking and vision
- Excellent executive communication skills
- Experience with enterprise planning systems
- Strong leadership and development skills
- Advanced analytical capabilities
- Results-driven with business impact

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
