Security Officer - Transportation Rounds

As a Security Officer - Transportation Rounds in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a transportation-focused location, you will regularly monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Assist in controlling access to restricted areas within the transportation environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
• Support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets by addressing any security-related concerns in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
