About the Opportunity: Assists in establishing, controlling, and maintaining a system of quality and export compliance which will ensure the manufacture of products which conform to all customer requirements within a lean environment that will improve customer satisfaction while minimizing non-value-added activity.

Location: Stuart, Florida - Onsite role. 1st Shift Monday to Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision, performs basic projects related to aerospace component quality control. Assists with establishing quality control planning necessary to complete parts. Assists with creating inspection method sheets and first article packages. Works with engineers and quality engineers to identify inspection methods and control plans while maintaining close feedback with shop floor personnel and management. Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and implements method and process improvements. Dispositions non-conformances and submits quality concessions where necessary. Performs additional duties as requested.

Include but not limited to the following:

  • Reviews purchase orders, customer specifications and drawings.
  • Register on all customer portals and their buyers.
  • Assess and maintain documentation of risk reviews of a process using FMEA methodology.
  • Perform internal audits to assure compliance with customer and Pursuit Aerospace requirements.
  • Maintain export compliance documentation and audit compliance to written procedures to ensure they are adequate and being followed as intended.
  • Ensure compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Federal Regulations.
  • Revise QMS documents as needed to reflect process improvements.
  • Instruct and mentor employees as needed to improve QMS effectiveness.
  • Use Customer portal systems to retrieve and transmit technical data.
  • Support Companywide Lean initiatives.
  • Observe all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Update customer specifications into the network

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in Quality Control / Assurance function in a commercial or Aerospace environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and customer required records.
  • AS13100 certification preferred.
  • Familiar with AS9100
  • Must be able to understand and interpret customer drawings and engineering sketches.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to keep accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills
  • Must have leadership ability and take ownership of process controls.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and generate customer required records.
  • Export Compliance Focal / ITAR & EAR Requirements (training required)

Working Conditions:

  • The employee will be working in a shop environment with moderate noise levels. Safety glasses are required at all times.
  • The employee may be subject to hazards such as proximity to moving parts, electrical current, or exposure to chemicals.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Eye exam certification required.
