The Hillcrest Same Day Operating Room will have multiple services including Orthopedics, Urology, Pain Procedures, IR, ENT, Plastics and Vascular Service lines.Under the supervision of Perioperative Leadership (Nurse Director and/or Nurse Manager) the Admin Nurse performs daily administration of surgical scheduling, conflict checking, and staff assignments for specific surgical service line(s). As the clinical expert in the surgical service line, the Admin Nurse will perform active scrub nurse/direct patient care duties as needed to maintain skill set, serve as a role model, and develop new policy and procedures for the service line(s). Daily work entails morning and afternoon rounds to preemptively manage issues. Develop work schedules as required for the specialty teams using established guidelines within the Periop program. Review daily OR schedules and changes of shift assignments, adjusts staffing needs to meet team and unit needs. Perform conflict checks for equipment, instruments, devices, and ancillary staffing requirements. Long-term strategic planning and program development activities include: ensuring systems, procedures, and equipment/supplies are organized such that direct patient care activities achieve the highest level of quality/cost standards. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (CC, ORSC, Anesthesiology, Surgical Teams, Surgical Pavilions, Strategic Sourcing, Biomedical Engineering, Data Administration, Facilities, Information Technology, Central Sterile Supply, Radiology) in order to proactively plan for department growth, on boarding of new surgeons, the addition of new procedures and technology. Quality management and Process Improvement activities include: Development of, or participation in, departmental quality metrics and QA activities for specialty service line(s). Education and training activities include: in services for new hires, mentoring and coaching of nurses cross covering service line(s); on boarding of new surgeons/residents/fellows to the service line; in services for new procedures, equipment or technologies used by the service line(s). Development of teaching/training materials for new procedures, equipment or technologies used by the service line(s). Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $139,165 - $194,790 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $66.65 - $93.29 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
