In this role, you'll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including high schools, colleges, and UAMS Regional Programs, to create meaningful learning experiences. From engaging students in hands-on activities to facilitating virtual learning through telemedicine, your efforts will spark curiosity and drive innovation.

As a long-term resource for students, you'll guide them through the health career pipeline, fostering their growth and success. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on healthcare education, while contributing to UAMS' mission of improving lives and communities. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Health Sciences, Communications, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience coordinating education programs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • An effective form of telecommunication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in developing and coordinating educational programs and activities, recruiting, mentoring, and advising students, managing pipeline initiatives to enhance representation and success of underrepresented groups in health professions education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in preparing educational materials and coordinating events.
  • Ability to travel and utilize virtual learning technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver innovative education programs aligned with UAMS' mission.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate efforts, events, and calendars.
  • Engage students through hands-on activities and provide ongoing support throughout their health career journey.
  • Facilitate recruitment into programs like AHEC Scholars and the Honors Program for Rural & Urban Underserved Medicine.
  • Collect and track data to document program success and outcomes.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with students and ensure proper documentation and data tracking according to UAMS and grant requirements.
  • Track and maintain budget expenses in accordance with grant objectives and program guidelines.
  • Prepare progress reports detailing program/activity/event progress, participant engagement, SWOT analysis, and budget spending.
  • Interact with and assist the public in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Collaborate with central leadership to meet ongoing goals and objectives of current and future grant initiatives.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located in Ft Smith, Arkansas, at the UAMS Family Medical Center.
