The Nursing Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting ongoing and new Nursing Operation programs and initiatives that elevate best practices within the organization. Job Relationships Reports to the Operations Manager. Principal Responsibilities
Operationalize the interviewing, hiring, and placement for Nursing Operations Programs Oversee the rounding, mentoring, orientation development of new clinical hires Lead the development of onboarding and training programs Lead simulation and classroom training Direct the onboarding of clinical students Generate best practice dissemination to clinical staff Manage clinical staff competencies. tracking and training Formulate statistical data, prepare reports, and present to managers and staff as needed. Establish super user/subject matter expert for systems, processes and initiatives as applicable for nursing operation initiatives Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures. Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy. Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Additional responsibilities if working in Nursing Operations:
Planning, implementation, and evaluation of CNE activity Responsible for the development, coordination, teaching and implementation of either Quality Improvement programs or American Heart Association (AHA) courses. Provide oversite and be an educational resource for electronic manikins Maintain staff list and electronic manikin assignment Coordinate class schedules Maintain a record of class rosters Perform mock codes in accordance to AAAHC guidelines Perform quarterly rounding and maintenance needed on all equipment General maintenance on RQI carts Responsible for teaching evening BLS, ACLS, PALS classes
Education/Experience
Previous nursing experience in an applicable clinical setting required. Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly desired. If required to precept, successful completion of the Preceptor Program is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate diplomatically and deal tactfully and effectively with all levels of Springfield Clinic employees, physicians, and the public. Ability to remain calm and perform with accuracy under pressure/during emergent situations.
Working Environment
Works in an office setting during the hours the Clinic is available to patients/families. Sitting vs. standing averages to 50-50%. Travel required in Springfield/Peoria and all surrounding SC locations
