Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for an R&D III-V Back-End-Of-Line Integration Engineer. This position is within the High Frequency Technology Center at our headquarters in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices. HFTC is part of Keysight Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Keysight's Centers of Excellence, Industry Solutions Teams and Technology Manufacturing Centers to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G Test and Measurement solutions to customers in the communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. This role will be based in our headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA Responsibilities The focus of the Back-End-Of-Line Integration Engineer position is the development and optimization of back-end-of-line (BEOL) micro- and nano-fabrication processes for high-performance compound semiconductor microwave and millimeter-wave applications. These technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs, and other electronic components which determine the key competitive specifications enabling industry-leading RF, microwave and high-bit-rate instruments. Core Responsibilities
Qualifications * M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience. * 5+ years of proven experience with advanced semiconductor processes. * Strong understanding of BEOL materials, plasma processes, and thermal budgets. * Specific skills in III-V device physics and processing are highly desirable. * Knowledge of high-frequency transistor design and performance (HBT, HEMT) is desired. * Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) is required. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Excellent leadership and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions. * Strong accountability, self-initiative, and proactive attitude.
