The Weekend Packaging Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all weekend packaging operations with a strategic focus on optimizing efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves directing cross-functional teams, including warehouse, maintenance, and quality assurance (QA) departments, to ensure seamless production processes in alignment with organizational goals. The Senior Supervisor drives operational excellence by implementing advanced process improvements, leveraging data-driven insights, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. They are tasked with ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and leading initiatives to enhance throughput, quality, and employee engagement during weekend shift operations. Primary Duties
- Strategically manage and optimize weekend shift operations to achieve production, safety, and quality objectives.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in critical systems, including Ross, electronic batch records, production shift reporting, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Optel systems.
- Develop and implement staffing strategies to maximize efficiency, utilizing workforce analytics to optimize Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) allocation.
- Oversee filler operations, machine setup, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure operational reliability and adherence to engineering specifications and batch records.
- Lead compliance with GMP policies, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse leadership to streamline material flow and inventory management, minimizing downtime and ensuring timely component delivery.
- Manage overtime scheduling and ensure cost-effective labor allocation while maintaining employee morale and productivity.
- Drive employee accountability through performance evaluations, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
- Oversee the entire production process during weekend shifts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and production schedules.
- Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs to track operational performance, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to meet targets.
- Partner with QA leadership to implement robust quality control measures, ensuring the highest product quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Conduct regular evaluations of machine efficiency and throughput, using data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Lead the development and refinement of job instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each line position to enhance training and operational consistency.
- Provide hands-on support for advanced troubleshooting of packaging equipment, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
- Conduct randomized product packaging audits to ensure accuracy and compliance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure consistent production of high-quality products through rigorous monitoring and periodic checks of output.
- Champion safety, quality, and production goals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed activity logs and oversee material issue tracking and returns to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational workflows, collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and QA teams to drive innovation.
Job-Related Qualifications/Skills

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
