What We Need:
We are looking for a Design Applications Specialist 1 to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.
The Design Application Specialist 3 is responsible for providing design and specification services to our internal and external customers and end users. Services provided on the team include project specifications, audit services, and design consultations.
What You Will Do:
- Design/space plan and specify creative solutions with systems, freestanding, and architectural product solutions.
- Support technical design requirements such as space planning, typical development, product specifications, audit, and finish selections on small-medium, low complexity specification projects (including bid responses) utilizing CET, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and 2020 Worksheet. Opportunity to work on progressively larger projects to build a strong skill set.
- Provide detailed notes and renderings showcasing product applications in a quick, clean, and effective manner that demonstrates team services and processes with competency and professionalism.
- Impact the selling process by providing unique design applications, color, and finish schemes, to provide a valued final solution that will improve our customer experience and win rate.
- Become a product expert by completing ongoing product training and staying up to date on department/product updates.
- Estimate hours to effectively schedule and allocate time per project.
- Provide consultative selling support that promotes relevant and impactful solutions to internal and external customers through in-person discussions, CET LIVE design, and virtual experiences.
- Drive product recommendations and interpret client needs. Providing value engineering suggestions when requested.
- Completesall activities while supporting corporate strategies and goals that include brand building and developing customer relationships.
- Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field.
- NCIDQand/or LEED certifications are preferred.
- At least 1-year relevant experience required; 2-years of experience preferred.
