Senior Accountant (Part-Time)

Schedule: Part-Time Non-Exempt (Office-based, four days per week)

Overview
Accord Care is a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This part-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and strengthening internal accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity of the company's financial data and compliance with accounting standards.
Core responsibilities include:
* Maintaining the general ledger and reconciling balance sheet accounts
* Performing bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
* Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and audit support documentation
* Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred
* Minimum of three years of senior-level accounting experience
* Strong command of GAAP and financial analysis
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Experience in private equity or healthcare settings preferred
Work Environment
This position operates in an office setting with extended computer use and frequent communication across in-person and virtual formats. The role involves standard physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and light lifting, consistent with typical business operations.
