WORK SHIFTNIGHT (United States of America) SUMMARY OF DUTIESThis position provides highly skilled and advanced level of mold setup, processing services, detail and problem solving. Provides assistance to supervisor by coordinating employee daily works activities such as assigning work, etc. Assignments are non-routine, have substantial variety, and are very complex. Develops solutions and alternatives to assigned molding problems, including mold process sheets. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
 1. Assists supervisor with prioritizing and adjusting work duties as needed.
 2. Assists supervisor in their absence by assigning work and ensuring the proper and efficient completion of assignments and processes.
 3. Promote and teach a culture of Continuous improvement and drive to continually improve the departments Key performance indicators / work system metrics through collaboration with the department Supervisor, Production Manager and MBES Leader
 4. Collaborate internally with adjacent departments to improve Quality-at-the-Source and drive root cause analysis using Lean tools
 5. Implement standards of continuous improvement and be self-driven with responsibilities, such as 5S, Waste Reduction, Audits, GEMBA Walks, Lean Events, etc.
 6. Build strong relationships of trust with Lead/TWI Trainers, QA Auditors, and the Supervisor to insure a cohesive and strong leadership team.
 7. Trains and mentors molding personnel in the safe operation of machines and equipment.
 8. Provides daily direction on the floor, ensuring process safety and quality requirements are met.
 9. Coaches and guides Technicians and Operators ensuring daily tasks assignments are completed in a timely manner.
 10. Provides supervisor input regarding employee work performance.
 11. Ensures valid processes on mold machines, auxiliary equipment, and robots.
 12. Stop production if there is a problem with the product, personnel safety, or potential damage to the equipment and/or tool and process.
 13. Ensures that correct materials are utilized, safety checks are performed, and that room organization and clealiness is maintained.
 14. Troubleshoots throughout the molding process to ensure maximum machine utilization, production, and quality are achieved while providing feedback of root cause analysis.
 15. Perform safety checks, cleaning of molds, greasing and other various maintenance tasks.
 16. Recommends improvements to molds and equipment.
 17. Ensure that documents are filled out correctly.
 18. Ensures that safety and housekeeping policies are followed.
 19. Ensures the following:
 a. Engineering and maintenance standards and procedures are followed.
 b. Molding MPS, GPS, QAP and standard operating procedures are followed.
 20. Assist Mold Engineers in testing of repaired tools and/or the validation of new tools.
 21. Performs and understands process development on new and existing molds as needed.
 22. Able to establish processes with sufficient windows of operation that are capable and repeatable.
 23. Performs and focuses on multiple duties, prioritizes, and adjusts schedule as necessary.
 24. Performs other duties and tasks as required.

 SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Education equivalent to a high school diploma and eight years of molding experience, with six of those years in molding machine, tooling set-up and processing and four of those years in a leadership role.* Ability to understand amorphous and semi crystalline processes, problem sources and the correction required.
 * Ability to learn about and remember key information about parts molded in the department.
 * Detail oriented.
 * Good manual dexterity and the ability to perform manual tasks requiring some fine motor skills.
 * Demonstrated human relations and effective verbal/written communication skills.
 * Demonstrated team player attributes.
 * Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
 * Scientific injection molding knowledge, and leadership training.
