Description

The Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by locating, picking, and preparing items for shipment. This includes using order tickets or handheld scanners to retrieve the correct products from warehouse shelving, verifying quantities and item accuracy, packing and labeling items, and transporting them to the shipping area. Work must be performed in a manner that meets company standards for safety, accuracy, and productivity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Locate and retrieve the correct items and quantities from warehouse shelves based on incoming orders.
  • Inspect items for damage or defects and ensure the correct product and quantity are picked.
  • Assemble and kit orders, ensuring items are properly labeled and packaged for shipment. Deliver completed orders to the shipping department.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Assist in training and mentoring other team members as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Employees must speak only English during an emergency and while performing job duties where there is potential for an emergency. This rule does not apply to casual conversations between employees when not performing job duties.
  • Non-field-related positions require in-office work five (5) days a week at the assigned branch location.


SKILLS



  • Excellent accuracy is crucial, selecting the correct items and quantities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time, multitask, and keep pace in a fast-moving environment.
  • Basic computer skills and common applications (e.g., email, PDFs, website navigation).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Receptive to feedback and able to follow instructions


WORK ENVIORNMENT:



  • $21.50/HR
  • Work on-site at La Mirada, CA.
