Description
The hours for this position are: Monday - Friday: 8:45 AM - 5:15 PM Role Supervises the Home Equity Team within Real Estate Operations, overseeing the origination, evaluation, processing, and closing of Home Equity applications in compliance with CAMPUS, investor, and government standards. Works with the Real Estate Operations Manager to support training, assist with goal achievement, and contribute to employee development within the team. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

- Supervises the Home Equity Team, providing oversight of origination, underwriting, processing, and closing, while coaching and training staff on day-to-day functions and processes to support their development.
- Works as liaison with CAMPUS USA Credit Union Service Centers and CAMPUS USA Credit Union Members for the Home Equity Real Estate Product.
- Works in conjunction with the Real Estate Loan Operations team to ensure timely closing, funding, and post-closing, while providing support and guidance to Real Estate Operations as needed.
- Originates, underwrites, processes, and closes Home Equity Mortgage Loans, including denying applications and preparing required documentation/notifications in accordance with CAMPUS policies and procedures.
- Responsible for monthly production goals set by the Chief Lending Officer(CLO).
- Remains current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments, which may affect consumer lending programs
- Serves as a technical expert and internal trainer on all computer systems used within the Real Estate Department.
- Serves as a member of the Real Estate Loan Committee
Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree OR
- A combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions may be substituted
- NMLS registration required upon hire
Experience
- 2 - 4 years of similar or related experience
- With a minimum of 2 years of processing/closing/loan underwriting/mortgage knowledge
- Supervisory experience required
