Description
As the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Older Adults Services you will lead multiple service lines that operate throughout Minnesota and North Dakota with approximately 300 team members. The annual budget may range from $20 million to $30 million with the expectation for service growth. You will have overall responsibility to develop and monitor budgets for the breadth of services and will also be responsible for training your directors to monitor budgets and take corrective actions as necessary.

PAY:



  • Annual Salary of $150K-166K, depending on experience and qualifications.


JOB SUMMARY:

  • Provide vision and leadership, strategic perspective, and direction to the lines of service in the Older Adults portfolio. Stimulate and foster integration of services, grow services, and lead people to perform.
  • Plan and participate as a strategic and tactical partner in evaluating and advising on the impact of market changes and regulatory action in the areas of responsibilities.
  • Manage the budget process for service operations through education of management team on budget and business issues impacting financial performance.
  • Foster a team environment and drive execution of quality, business planning, accreditation, strategic imperatives, and organizational priorities throughout the service lines. Effectively manage internal/external relationships.
  • Cultivate and sustain commitment to the organization's mission, vision, values, employee vision, and business plans to provide people high-quality services.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services and/or Business or comparable experience required; Master's degree desirable
  • Five to eight years of experience in leading and managing a business unit/LOS with responsibility for budgets, business planning, people development, contract development and negotiation, and building and maintaining community and external business relationships. Knowledge of social service and health care systems, preferred.
  • Demonstrated financial management and budgeting skills and fiscal aptitude.
  • Critical thinking skills: The ability to look inward to discover new awareness and insights. Value alignment of individual's guiding principles with those of the organization. The ability to adapt behavior to any given situation.
  • Strategic Thinking Skills: The ability to look outside oneself and focus on the organizations future. Promotes a work environment and culture that enable employees to achieve success. Includes the ability to anticipate service and business trends and processes, and break them into manageable pieces for others to understand. The ability to clearly communicate organization's vision and manage responsibilities in a manner that meets the needs and expectations of all organizational stakeholders. Examines situations carefully and consider information without bias.
  • Effective Communication Skills: The ability to skillfully communicate with everyone throughout the organization through the use of all communication mechanisms. Possess active listening skills and the ability to ask pertinent questions
