As a Security Guard - Armed School Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will have the important role of monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure environment for everyone on campus. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the educational environment.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and foster a secure atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
• Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation related to patrol and incident response.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during critical situations.
• Adhere to all weapon handling policies and protocols as required for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
