Dock Coordinator

The Dock Coordinator assists with validation of staged orders or labels, obtains signatures for all outbound shipments, and ensures that the dock floor runs efficiently and in accordance with OWI policies. The Dock Coordinator will work with the Shipping Coordinator on dock assignments, communicating with forklift operators, and reconciling dock floor activity.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assign orders to forklift operators to be picked and staged.
• Check/sign off on orders that have been picked / staged.
• Check placards w/ expired dates and give daily placard form to shipping coordinator to get new p/u dates.
• Count how many orders are staged on floor and enter # on daily placard form.
• Housekeeping - sweep floor in front of dock doors, drive entrance, sanitize driver sign area, shovel driver entrance stairs/ salt if needed.
• Obtains signatures and maintains appropriate shipping paper documentation.
• Check & document working condition of dock doors, plates, levelers, and mechanisms.
• Retrieve & validate labels for outbound shipments.
• Daily cycle counts
• Assist with checking materials picked and labels prior to orders being loaded
• Work in unison with Shipping Coordinator on prioritizing work to ensure Customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a Safe warehouse and drive a Safety-First culture.

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented, dependable, and reliable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
