This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:

ABB Motion High Power is hiring a Sales Director for Renewable Power segment. The Sales Director, Renewable Power develops, implements, and manages the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Coordinates sales activities, monitors current projects, and manages the resolution of specific customer problems.

This role will reside in New Berlin, WI and the work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Independently lead sales and business development activities for Inverter product line with assigned Solar and BESS (Utility, EPC and IPP ) customer accounts
  • Develops customer contacts builds and maintains a sound customer focused network at all relevant hierarchical levels.
  • Generates value-oriented offers and respond to customer Request for proposals (RFP) in a timely manner
  • Work with assigned contract management team to close contracts in a timely manner and win business
  • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the North American market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends.
  • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the US and Canadian markets.

Qualifications for the role:

  • 10+ years of experience in Power Electronics / Electrical/ Transmission product sales
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Discipline.
  • Previous experience in the PV and BESS industry and Industry contacts will be a significant advantage.
  • Candidates should have a verifiable record of successfully growing market share.
  • Proficiency in MS Office- Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Adaptable, Proactive and good Time Management skills.
  • Travel as needed to support account management activities. Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
