Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control

As a Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in an automotive location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned areas. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors and employees, all while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points to control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting access only to authorized personnel and/or visitors.
• Report and document any irregularities, unusual circumstances, or security-related incidents according to post orders and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with team members, site personnel, and Allied Universal management as needed to relay information and request assistance.
• Assist with emergency response activities, following established protocols and working collaboratively with site representatives and/or first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
