Job Description




As a Security Professional - Unarmed Distribution Patrol in Hopewell Junction, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, being a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and security-related operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential risks.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or suspicious behavior encountered during patrols to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and supporting visitor management protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal and site management with emergency preparedness and response efforts as required by the location's protocols.
  • Act as a visible Allied Universal representative to help to deter inappropriate activity and provide a security-related presence throughout the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
