The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and The Division of Cardiology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Responsibilities include serving as an attending physician in the Heart Failure and Heart Transplant program, providing comprehensive care for children with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and pre- and post-heart transplant patients. The position involves managing patients on mechanical circulatory support devices including ventricular assist devices (VADs), evaluating and optimizing transplant candidates, providing long-term follow-up care for heart transplant recipients, and coordinating multidisciplinary care with cardiac surgery, infectious disease, and other subspecialties. The candidate will supervise and train cardiology fellows in advanced heart failure management, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate on clinical research projects. Opportunities exist for clinical research and collaboration through the Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute of Chicago.

Qualified candidates will have an M.D. or D.O. and be eligible for an Illinois medical license. Qualifications include Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology and completion of advanced training in heart failure and heart transplantation. Applicants should have completed a categorical fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology with demonstrated expertise in advanced heart failure management and transplant cardiology.

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $231,199 - $422,491.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
