GENERAL SUMMARY: This position drives continuous improvement of the production manufacturing process by identifying and implementing cost, lead-time, quality, and/or safety improvements through proper development of new products and established production castings. This position includes, but is not limited to, the ability for development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices, and familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques. This position will interface with other departments as well as customer representatives. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience required. Two to seven years quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand/walk within the manufacturing facility. Ability to communicate, write, type, use and operate office equipment. Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force to move objects. Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
