We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized *Clinical Support Associate - Enhanced Care Management (CSA-ECM)* to join our Medical Management department. Reporting to the ECM Program Manager, this role provides coordination support to clinical teams, assists with daily operational functions, and ensures efficient workflows. The CSA-ECM will also handle clerical tasks, process authorizations and referrals, and maintain accurate data entry to support enhanced care management services.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Respond promptly to inbound calls and make outbound calls to providers, members, and internal staff regarding operational processes. * Maintain confidentiality and protect member information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. * Support daily operational functions of the ECM/CS program, including referral intake and provider assignments. * Collaborate with case management teams and internal departments to ensure timely access to ECM/CS services. * Organize, schedule, and track member contacts; assist with mailings related to assignments and authorization notifications. * Accurately enter authorization requests, billing codes, and service details into the system. * Prepare and finalize written determination notices for providers and members; assist with mailing Notices of Action (NOAs). * Act as a liaison between clinical reviewers, providers, and members to resolve issues and ensure smooth communication. * Support the ECM Program Manager with data tracking and other administrative tasks. *Skills & Qualifications:* * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. * Basic understanding of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and authorization processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); typing speed of at least 35 WPM. * Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. *Preferred:* * Knowledge of Medi-Cal services and community-based healthcare resources. * Experience with health-related programs for low-income or elderly populations. * Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, not required). *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
