*Description*
Our healthcare client unit is looking for 1 (possibly 2) Support Technicians to provide break/fix support and device upgrade help. This resource will be helping to support proprietary hardware that the team has built and sold commercially to specialty pharmacy customers. These devices provide inventory management and dispensing of specialty pharmaceuticals (predominantly oncology drugs). This position will be 6 months to start after which the customer will either further extend the contract or explore hiring the consultant. Candidates will be tasked with the following: 1. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer-based systems, hardware and computer peripherals at customer sites and at company locations. 2. Performs duties such as planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 3. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces customer hardware and software systems. 4. Installs software and peripherals, troubleshoots hardware, software and networking problems at customer sites and locations. 5. Interfaces with customer network resources to resolve ABC hardware operation issues. 6. Independently conducts application training for ABC associates and/or customers. 7. Resolves customer PC hardware and software problems. 8. Adheres to standards and procedures for project reporting, problem resolutions, and documentation. 9. Facilitates classroom training as needed. 10. Conducts product presentations and demos to current and potential customers as needed. 11. Manages customer product implementation projects. 12. Manages company expenses appropriately and works with management to identify cost saving opportunities in field support. 13. Performs related duties as assigned.
