Responsibilities

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for a Building Enclosure Associate II to join our Mid-Atlantic Facilities team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you'll work on projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
  • Involvement in projects including but not limited to:

    • Inspections of Building Enclosures

    • Building Enclosure Testing

    • Building Enclosure Assessments

    • Air Leakage Testing

    • Construction Quality Assurance Observations

    • Roofing Assessments

    • Design Specification Review

    • Field Performance Testing

    • Building Enclosure commissioning consulting

  • Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
  • Occasional field and laboratory testing
  • Assisting with preparation of reports, proposals, and projects
  • Assisting with projects as needed
  • Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
  • Scheduling and oversight of facilities technicians
  • Mentoring other staff
  • Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE

Qualifications

  • B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
